    Are you passionate about helping older adults? Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in our community? The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is seeking a part-time Chore Laborer who possesses the knowledge and capability to assist clients with various household needs. In this role, you will perform minor home repairs, home maintenance, and a variety of household tasks to ensure our clients have a safe and maintained environment to live in.

    The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is a large, 501c3 nonprofit organization serving Fairfield County. The agency serves as the county’s office on aging providing programs and services to improve health, connection, and independent living for those 60 and older living in Fairfield County.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Assist with home repair and/or chore assignments, to include but not limited to:
      • Washing walls
      • Washing windows, indoor and outdoor
      • Hanging pictures
      • Moving furniture
      • Basic plumbing repairs
      • Basic electrical projects
      • Painting
      • Cleaning gutters
      • Lawn care and landscaping
      • Snow removal
      • Power washing
      • Basic trash and recycling removal
    • Procure supplies needed to complete jobs
    • Ensure proper paperwork and documentation is accurately and efficiently completed
    • Assist the Maintenance Manager with routine maintenance within the agency

     

    REQUIREMENTS
    Basic carpentry skills
    Experience performing minor home repairs, maintenance, and household tasks
