About the speaker
Muyang Hu works closely with spinouts and startups in bioscience and medical devices from Rev1's innovation partners, The Ohio State University, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and OhioHealth. These acclaimed research institutions encourage both staff and students to bring forward ideas and discoveries. Muyang supports the technology transfer and commercialization offices at these partners. Muyang especially enjoys engaging directly with curious and passionate innovators and entrepreneurs on the founding teams of spinout companies and the teaching and coaching aspects of her responsibilities.

A former manufacturing science specialist in insulin formulation processes at Eli Lilly, Muyang brings a unique blend of science and business education, plus international investment experience from her time with a Shanghai-based VC.

She earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and chemistry from Purdue University and a master's degree in entrepreneurial biotechnology from Case Western Reserve University.
