    Student-athletes competing in NCAA intercollegiate athletics are now permitted to receive compensation for the use of their name, image, or likeness (NIL) for commercial activities, including endorsements through traditional and social media, appearances, entrepreneurial activities, in-kind deals, autographs, and more.     Assistant Athletic Director of Name, Image and Likeness
    The Ohio State University

    Logan, a native of Zanesville, Ohio, joined Ohio State Athletics in the Eugene D. Smith Leadership Institute in July of 2021 as the Associate Director of Student-Athlete Development. Logan was then named the Director of Name, Image and Likeness where his primary focus was to provide leadership on NCAA Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) education, brand development, and partnerships for the Ohio State Athletic Department. Most recently, Logan was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of NIL to continue to develop strategy and initiatives around Ohio State’s NIL program.

    Logan is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned an undergraduate degree in Sport Industry and a minor in Business while being an active member on The Ohio State Football Team. Logan recently graduated with his Masters in Sports Management from The Ohio State University as well.

    Henry is a student in the Ohio University Master’s in Sports Administration program, working as a graduate assistant to drive NIL engagement for Ohio Athletics.     Carleen Dotson is a a Training Specialist/Certified Business Advisor for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership & Public Affairs. Carleen facilitates professional development trainings for businesses in multiple disciplines throughout their service region. In addition to developing and facilitating training for SBDC clients, Carleen assists clients through one-on-one counseling.

    Carleen received her undergraduate degree in specialized studies from Ohio University and has extensive experience working with business and industry clients. Prior to joining the Voinovich School, Dotson worked at Tri-County Adult Career Center in Nelsonville, OH. Her primary responsibility was to develop and implement computer software training programs. Dotson herself holds the Microsoft Master Certification as well as Microsoft Certified Instructor credentials.

    Richard Carr
    Business Advisor, Small Business Development Center

    Richard serves Licking and northern Fairfield counties. He has more than 25 years of experience in small business development, process design, and operations management, having successfully launched, managed, and exited several companies during his career. He brings his experience in contractor management, including capabilities analysis, qualifications, selection, and finished product quality review.

    Richard received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and is currently pursuing his Certified Business Advisor credentials. Prior to joining the Small Business Development Center, Carr co-founded Think Outside Boxes, a subscription box for children to teach them outdoor skills and served as Director of Operations for Burton Planning, a local planning and development company.

    For more than 30 years, Chris has been developing Brand Experiences for clients ranging from professional sports teams to boutique mom-and-pop shops. Specializing in small business communications and identity, his work includes award-winning campaigns and programs across multiple media and marketing channels – and most importantly, shared success and development with professional partners.

    Chris started his studio, Creative Design Solutions, in 1992. It serves as a “creative mill” for his team, clients, and affiliates, encouraging imagination and innovation, and helping others realize their potential. In addition to his agency work, Chris works directly with clients “in-house” and remotely as part of their organizations to develop their creative teams, communications, and brand messaging. A couple of his most notable achievements include growing a local small outdoors company into a multi-million dollar “fast track 40” company in the hunting industry, as well as creating a Pandemic Response Program for the Ohio Grocers Association, which was used nationally across the industry by companies such as SpartanNash, Kroger, and Giant Eagle.

    Chris earned a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design, where he graduated Cum Laude with majors in Graphic and Industrial Design. He currently serves as an officer in his Knights of Columbus Council as well as on the Leadership Team (as marketing and communications director) for Catholic Men’s Ministry in the Columbus Diocese. Chris has been a resident of Pickerington since 2006 and was formerly a member of Pickerington City Council as well as the PACC, re-engaging his membership in the Chamber just last year. He is most proud of his four amazing children, two great big dogs (Bonnie and Clyde), and his beautiful wife, Trish.
