Ohio State Football: The Forgotten Dawn
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This is a free program for adults.
How did the football team at the Ohio State University steal the hearts of the entire state? Why did the humble team at this particular school ultimately develop into the dominance and pageantry known today as “Ohio State Football”? In the 19th century OSU was not the largest school in Ohio, and the students there were not the first to form a local college team. What those students did have was an underdog complex and a chip on their shoulders, and the drive to prove themselves. Author Robert J. Roman explores the forgotten history of a little 19th century football team and the birth of a football dynasty.
Copies of Mr. Roman’s book, Ohio State Football: The Forgotten Dawn, will be available for sale and signing at the event.
