Name of Event: Central Ohio Kidney Walk Date of Event: September 22, 2018 Location: Genoa Park/COSI Time of Event: Check-in at 8am, Walk begins at 9:30am Event Concludes: 11am The Kidney Walk is not just about kidney disease. It’s about people. It's about the patients, families, and people at risk. It's about individuals walking to help improve and extend people's lives. It's about people from across the country raising vital funds and helping the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) expand the public conversation from kidney disease to kidney health. Kidney Walks are a vital source of support as we provide real-time assistance for those in need. 80 cents of every dollar donated goes to research, patient services, professional education, public health education and community services. Action: We ensure that 30 million Americans living with chronic kidney disease get diagnosed, treated and supported early. Education: We provide the public, patients, and healthcare professionals with tools to promote kidney health. Accelerating Change: We advocate for change on Capitol Hill and support life-saving research. To learn more about our work, visit kidney.org. The time is NOW and the person is YOU!
