DESCRIPTION:United Way?s leadership role as a catalyst for community change has produced significant results during our first year of Community Impact. United Way partner agencies have helped us move closer to achieving our Bold Goals in the areas of Education\, Income and Health. These areas represent the building blocks for a better life ensuring that every member of our community has a quality education that leads to a productive career\, enough income to support a family through retirement\, good health and a safe place to live. When achieved\, more people in Fairfield County will reach their full potential. The United Way will present to the public the results of our first full year of Community Impact work. The Community Impact model was implemented in Fairfield County to create system-wide change in the identification of the most persistent problems in our community and development of strategies to attack those problems.
